Kochi:
Arrive in Kochi at any time. |

Allepey:
This pleasant market town, where coconut-tree fringed canals and roadways
are used for transport, is famous for the annual 'snake boat' races held in
August. We use the river boats to take us to our homestay. |

Periyar Tiger Reserve:
Further into the Western Ghats is the acclaimed wildlife sanctuary of
Periyar which attracts herds of wild elephants; the park also sees sambar
and spotted deer. We take a boat onto the lake and enjoy a guided nature
walk to better explore the area. |

Varkala
A temple town known for its many yoga and massage centres, Varkala means
just one thing for many visitors - a chance for some time on the beach. It
is the only place in southern Kerala where one can find cliffs adjacent to
the Arabian sea. |

Depart Kochi
Travel back to our starting point at Fort Kochi where trip ends upon
arrival. |
