Itinerary:

We embark on our Croatia sailing experience from Split harbour around lunch time and sail to our first overnight stop, Milna. There may be an option to enjoy dinner or a barbecue on board our ship or head to one of the local restaurants. (L)

Early in the morning we continue our cruise towards Hvar, stopping to swim in the stunning water along the way. Hvar is the longest island in the Adriatic and is one of Croatia's hotspots. The city offers plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes that are open long into the night. We could walk up to visit the Spanish Fortress or head straight to Hula Hula Beach for water sports and chill out time. Party into the early morning if we want! (B,L)

This morning we depart for Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo. Another sailing day with swim stops on the way. Once at Korcula why not visit Marco Polo's house before a sunset cocktail at Massimos cocktail bar, built in the turret of a 15th century tower, where we climb a ladder to get in and our drinks come up by pulley! (B,L)

After breakfast we depart for Dubrovnik. Enjoy the beautiful sights on the way to the city that George Bernard Shaw called 'heaven on earth'. Once in Dubrovnik take a walk through Stradun — a promenade and square inside the city walls or for those with a bit more energy, walk along the top of the 1,940m long city walls! (B,L)

An early morning departure for Mljet. Late afternoon is ours to explore the salt lakes in the National Park by foot, bicycle or scooter. Enjoy the sun and sea on this peaceful island. Tonight there may be an option to enjoy dinner or a BBQ on board our ship and chill after the night out in Dubrovnik last night! (B,L)

From Mljet we sail across the Makarska Riviera located on the coast of mainland Croatia. Spend the afternoon swimming at one of the many beautiful beaches on the Riviera. Tonight we stay in the port of Makarska, one of the most attractive resorts on the Croatian coast. (B,L)

Today we journey back to Split, via Omis. There is an option to go white water rafting. Split is a UNESCO World Heritage city, and has an abundance of Roman architecture including Diocletian's Palace. Tonight is our last night together that we can spend out in Split or on our boat. (B,L)

Our trip finishes today in Split and after an early breakfast it is time to say goodbye to the crew and farewell to our travelling companions. (B) *Please note itinerary subject to change due to weather conditions.
Itinerary:

Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport and meet our Topdeck representative. A transfer to the hotel is included.

We head north through the olive groves to the ancient city of Jerash. Our local guide shows us around the complex. See Hadrian's Arch, built to commemorate his visit in 129AD. The hippodrome, which hosted the chariot races, could hold 15,000 spectators, and the colonnaded main street still has the ruts made from the chariots. From Jerash we visit Ajloun Castle with spectacular views over the Jordan Valley. We arrive back in Amman for the evening. (B)

We travel to the town of Madaba, the Christian centre of Jordan, famous for its mosaics. From here it is not far to Mt Nebo where Moses is said to have seen the ‘Promised Land'. Then we head off to the Mujeb Valley, known as the Grand Canyon of Jordan – the valley is 1km deep and 4km wide. We also stop at Karak one of Jordan's most famous castles before arriving in Petra. (B)

A full day to enjoy, and take in, the awesome ‘Rose City'. Petra's importance grew due to the caravan trade, but with the development of sea trade its importance dwindled and by the 14th Century it was effectively lost to the West, only being rediscovered in 1812. Our local guide will make Petra come to life. (B)

Today we head off to the desert stopping first at ‘Little Petra'. This maze of rockscapes rise from the desert floor to a height of up to 1750 metres. We transfer to 4×4 Jeeps for a journey through stunning desert landscape. Tonight we stay in a desert camp. (B,D)

Heading for the western side of Jordan we travel to the Dead Sea. The high salinity of the water means you literally bob about on the surface. We spend time here swimming, and relaxing before heading back to Amman late afternoon. (B)

Our trip finishes today after breakfast. A transfer to the airport is included. (B)
In the evening we board the first class overnight train to Aswan, a city with a relaxed and appealing charm after the hustle and bustle of Cairo. (B)

After breakfast (on board train), we arrive in Aswan and transfer to the hotel. This afternoon we board a motorboat to pass by the Elephantine and Kitchener Islands, viewing the Nilometer, Aga Khan Mausoleum and the Tombs of the Nobles on the west bank of the Nile. We continue to a Nubian Village to learn about the lifestyle and customs of the original inhabitants of this region. (B)

This morning we have a very early departure to Abu Simbel to visit the incredible temple built by Ramses II. We also visit the Temple of Hathor, built in honour of the Goddess of Love and Music and Ramses' wife, Queen Nefertari. On returning to Aswan there is an optional tour visiting the majestic setting of the Temple of Isis on the Island of Philae. In the evening there is an option to dine on the banks of the Nile, a truly memorable setting. (B)

Today we hop aboard our felucca, ready for two days of complete relaxation. On board, the Nubian crew cook and sail giving us the chance to do as much or as little as we wish. (B,L,D) (B,L,D)

We stop at Kom Ombo temple with our Egyptologist before continuing to the ancient capital of Luxor, from where we take a trip by air-conditioned mini-bus as our guide introduces us to the amazing Temple of Karnak. We explore the Temple of Luxor as the tour of the east bank continues, discovering the magnificence of what was once the capital of Egypt. (B)

We also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. There is time to visit the colourful market of Luxor famous for its gold and silver. (B)

Four days lie ahead to enjoy at leisure. Swimming, snorkelling, water sports and relaxation are all on hand. Also the local diving centre can help you with any equipment hire or to locate the best dive spots in the Red Sea. On land, experience the thrill of a desert safari on quad bikes or camels. At night the fire lit seafood eateries are tempting for dinner. There is also an option to climb to the top of Mt Sinai, where you can witness the spectacular sunrise – one of the most unforgettable views in Egypt.
Arrive at Cairo International Airport. An arrival transfer from the airport to the hotel is included.

In the morning accompanied by a qualified, English speaking Egyptologist, we visit the Egyptian Museum housing over 100,000 relics including the magnificent treasures of King Tutankhamun. We then see the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx. In the evening we board the first class overnight train to Aswan. (B)

After freshening up in our cruise boat cabins we experience a traditional felucca sailboat before we set off to the Nubian village by motor boat, passing the Elephantine and Kitchener Islands, viewing the Nilometer, the Aga Khan Mausoleum, and the Tombs of the Nobles. At the Nubian village we learn more about their language and culture. (B,L,D)

It's an early start this morning as we visit Abu Simbel to see the incredible temple built by Ramses II. When we return lunch is on board the panoramic decks of our cruise boat. On the way we pass via Kom Ombo and stop to visit the temple. (B,L,D)

Our journey continues to the town of Edfu where we gaze at the temple dedicated to the falcon headed sky god, Horus. We travel by horse and carriage to the almost fully-intact Temple of Edfu. (B,L,D)

We continue along the river arriving at the ancient capital of Thebes. A highlight for all visitors to Egypt is our guided tour of the Valley of the Kings. We also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Our guide then introduces us to the amazing Temple of Karnak and we take a trip by airconditioned minibus to explore the Temple of Luxor. In the evening we board the overnight first class train to return to the capital. (B)

Arriving in Cairo we transfer to the hotel to freshen up. The rest of the day is spent further exploring Cairo. We see the necropolis of Saqqara, including the Step Pyramid of King Zoser.
