Do I need a visa for Australia?
Yes, but there are different kinds of visas:
1. Short Stay (up to three months for tourist purposes): can be issued by Travel CUTS at no charge;
2. Long Stay (over three months for tourist purposes): Must be issued by Australian Embassy or Consulate as applicable for a fee
Are you still allowed to climb Uluru (Ayers Rock)? (Uluru is a spiritual place to the Aboriginal people)
The decision is up to you, although after visiting the Aboriginal Cultural Centre, you may feel differently about climbing the Rock.
I'm not a student. Can I still go to Travel CUTS?
Of course! We have all the airfares and land products that all of the other travel agencies do. The difference is we also have some special products too, including student and youth deals and specific promotions with tour companies. If you're not a student, you won't be able to buy the student products, like an ISIC or a Student Class airfare, but we can help find your best travel plan with airfares, tours, language schools, bus or rail passes, insurance... whatever you need!
Do I have to have an international drivers license for Australia?
No you do not, but you may want to get one. There are numerous websites where you can obtain one.
What's the best currency to carry? The best way to carry it?
Travel CUTS recommends using U.S. dollar travelers checks. You only have to pay exchange once. Changing currency near borders costs more, so get currency for the next country at a bank, during business hours. Cash checks as slowly as possible, since it's easy to trace lost or stolen checks. Use a money belt that hangs around your neck next to your skin, under your clothes.
